01

Payroll Management Fundamentals

This module establishes how payroll operates as an end-to-end HR business process, who owns each part of it, and why accuracy depends on the full chain of inputs, approvals, and records rather than on the calculation alone.

Day 1
02

Payroll Data & Payroll Components

This module builds the data foundation of payroll: the employee master data payroll relies on, and a clear classification of every earning and deduction with its rule, eligibility, and approval.

Day 1
03

Attendance, Time & Variable Payroll

This module treats attendance and variable pay as controlled payroll inputs: validated before they reach payroll, supported by evidence, approved by the right authority, and assigned to the right payroll cycle.

Day 1
04

Payroll Calculation

This module develops accurate and consistent payroll calculation, from gross pay to net pay, including partial-month cases and final settlements, using documented and testable formulas.

Day 2
05

Egyptian Payroll Statutory Requirements

This module connects payroll calculation with the Egyptian statutory framework, so participants can apply social insurance, income tax, and labour law requirements correctly and reconcile statutory amounts with payroll.

Day 2
06

Payroll Cycle & Cut-Off Management

This module organizes payroll into controlled stages with clear deadlines and owners, so payroll runs as a predictable monthly process rather than an urgent follow-up exercise.

Day 3
07

Payroll Controls

This module builds a complete payroll control framework, covering inputs, calculations, outputs, and payments, so errors are prevented or detected before employees are paid.

Day 3
08

Payroll Reconciliation

This module develops the ability to explain every payroll movement, across periods, systems, and accounting records, and to separate legitimate changes from potential errors.

Day 3
09

Payroll Exceptions & Adjustments

This module replaces informal manual corrections with a controlled process for exceptions, retroactive adjustments, overpayments, and underpayments, each followed by root-cause prevention.

Day 4
10

Payroll Closing & Reporting

This module completes the payroll cycle: confirming payment, reconciling, documenting, and archiving, then turning payroll results into reports, employee payslips, and performance indicators.

Day 4
11

Payroll Governance & Risk Management

This module places payroll under clear governance: defined ownership and authority, segregation of duties, confidentiality, a complete audit trail, and a risk map that links every payroll risk to a control.

Day 4
What you take home

  • Payroll Input Control Checklist
