7 Practical Modules over 4 Training Days
Delivery combines short explanations, worked examples, group exercises, and participant presentations.
System Foundations & Diagnosis
This module defines what a complete performance management system includes, sets out the design decisions the organization must take first, and diagnoses the strengths and weaknesses of the current system.
Business Alignment & Objective Setting
This module links organizational priorities to departmental and individual objectives, separates objectives from KPIs, targets, and initiatives, and clarifies accountability where results depend on other teams.
KPI & Scorecard Design
This module selects meaningful and balanced measures, documents each KPI so it is calculated consistently, sets baselines and targets, and assembles a weighted role scorecard.
Competencies & Rating Methodology
This module defines observable competencies and behavioral anchors, designs the rating scale, converts KPI results into ratings, and sets the scoring rules and exceptions that produce an overall assessment.
Performance Conversations & Reviews
This module designs the performance cycle and the conversations that run it — check-ins, feedback, evidence collection, self-assessment, and formal reviews — and the controls that keep assessments consistent, including calibration.
Development & Performance Improvement
This module turns review outcomes into action: development plans linked to work-based evidence, diagnosis of underperformance before choosing an intervention, fair performance improvement plans, and clear criteria for other people decisions.
Governance, Technology & Implementation
This module sets the governance, policy, and system requirements that keep the design consistent in practice, then plans a pilot and the measures used to judge whether the system is working.

These deliverables form an initial system design pack that participants can adapt to their organizations.
