7 Practical Modules over 4 Training Days
The workshop combines explanation, worked examples, guided calculations, group discussion, and a final case assessment.
Business Questions & Analytical Foundations
This module connects workforce analysis to the business decision it must support, distinguishes reporting, analytics, and workforce planning, and turns a broad workforce concern into a focused analytical question with testable hypotheses.
Workforce Data & Measurement
This module builds a reliable workforce dataset: it maps HR and business data sources, defines record granularity and field meanings, applies data-quality controls, and sets the rules for responsible use of employee data.
HR Metrics & Workforce Diagnosis
This module builds the core HR metrics with clear definitions and formulas, then uses segmentation, trends, and careful interpretation to diagnose a workforce problem without confusing correlation with causation.
Workforce Demand Forecasting
This module defines the scope and ownership of workforce planning, establishes the workforce baseline, and estimates future workforce demand from business drivers, labor standards, available productive hours, and operating constraints.
Workforce Supply & Gap Analysis
This module forecasts the workforce that will actually be available, separates contracted FTE from effective productive capacity, and compares demand with supply to identify gaps by role, skill, location, shift, and timing.
Scenarios & Workforce Interventions
This module tests the workforce plan against different business conditions, compares the available workforce interventions, and estimates the recurring and one-time cost of the chosen options.
Management Reporting & Implementation
This module turns the analysis into an approved, owned, and reviewed workforce action plan and a management view that connects findings to a decision.
The Workforce Planning Pack
These outputs form a working planning pack that participants can adapt to their organizations.
